HOME ABOUT TODD SERVICES CONTACT COMMUNITY LINKS		Ten years ago, I was an educational assistant for the Los Angeles Unified School District and a night student at Mount San Antonio College when I took my first course in American Sign Language. I met some Deaf neighbors, also students, who encouraged me to learn both the language and the culture. I spent a few more years as an educational assistant, gradually introducing my signing skills in my work environment with special needs children and continued to do so when I moved to Portland, Oregon. My next step was to enter the interpreter training program at Portland Community College along with an internship program at P-S Squared Interpreting Agency. Since then, I have gained valuable experience, continued to develop my knowledge of interpreting for the Deaf and received Level 3 certification from the National Association of the Deaf.
